Wooohoooo... It doesn't get any better than that!
Arrived at the beach at about idday to find Col and Jon packing up and Steve out sailing but a little underpowered with his 5.3m and big board. Col was complaining about the gusty conditions, but the wind was forecast to arrive with the rain and as it was starting to rain I decided to rig my 5m sail and little wave board and hope that it filled in.
I timed it perfectly, as I got on the water the wind picked up to around 25 knots and I was perfectly powered. Lots of nice jumps on my first run, a decent gybe and everything felt perfect. Nicely set up, well powered up and the waves weren't too mad. The wind continued to fill in and well powered soon became maxed out. The waves started to pick up as well as the wind swung from SSW to SW. I tried a forward loop and nearly made it, but took off from whitewater and didn't quite get enough height to make it cleanly all the way around. The wind then went a little mad and maxed out became stupidly overpowered so we both went in and changed down to 4.5m sails and Steve to a smaller board. Back out and now the rain had arrived in style as well. Seeing where you were going on the way out was difficult and the sea took on a really dark grey, and sinister appearance. Still, I was perfectly powered with the 4.5m and everything was perfect once again. Some nice big jumps, a huge back loop attempt (that hurt) and some nice wave rides on the way in. The waves were getting pretty big now as well with 10 foot faces a regular occurrence.
It then started to get even windier and even the 4.5m sail was beginning to feel a little big, but I was able to hang on for a few more runs to finish off an excellent session.

Gonna have to get a winter suit though as it was feeling a little chilly in my short armed 3/2mm suit today.
